In the LPGA Tour qualifying series, Somi Lee’s senior pass is just around the corner.

In the fifth round of the Q Series held at Magnolia Grove Golf Course (par 72) in Mobile, Alabama, the U.S. on Monday (Korea time), Somi Lee shot a 9-under 63 with one eagle and seven birdies. She also tied the record for the lowest Q Series par at 18 holes.

Lee So-mi, who made a perfect play of “no bogey” by reducing 16 strokes in the fourth and fifth rounds, took the lone lead with a 27-under 331, two strokes behind second-ranked Robin Choi of Australia. 메이저사이트

The Q series, which is on a forced march, has only the final 6 rounds left on the 7th. The right to participate in next year’s LPGA tour, which is given to those in the top 20, has virtually been secured, and it is highly likely that she will pass the top 20. If Somi Lee takes first place in the Q Series, it will be the third consecutive year that a Korean player has taken first place in the Q Series, following Anna Rin (2021) and Yoo Hae-ran (2022).

Sung Yu-jin also tied for 5th place with 17-under-par 341 strokes, so securing a tour card seems easy. Jang Hyo-jun, who played in this year’s LPGA, also reduced 7 strokes and tied for 5th place with Sung Yu-jin. Jinhee Lim, the KLPGA multiple-winner who has the highest world ranking among the players participating in this Q Series, ranked tied for 13th (13 under par, 345 strokes) with even par 72 strokes.
