Yongsan High School advances to the quarterfinals of Busan Central High School
Yongsan High School is heading to the quarterfinals without difficulty.
Yongsan High School advanced to the quarterfinals with a 94-56 victory over Busan Central High School in the men’s high school final at the 78th National Men’s and Women’s Basketball Championships held at the Yeonggwang Sports Center in Jeollanam-do on the 29th.
At Yongsan High School, Kim Seung-woo (20 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists) and Lee Yoo-jin (19 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists) took the lead in the team’s attack, while Lee Sung-joon (14 points, 4 rebounds, 5 assists, 2 steals) also showed off their presence.
In the previous match between Samil High School and Jemulpo High School at the same place, Samil High School won 99-78 thanks to Ko Chan-yu (36 points, 11 rebounds, 4 assists).
Jeonju High School, with Kim Sang-rok (30 points, 4 rebounds, 5 assists), defeated Gyeseong High School 88-86 in a neck-and-neck race to settle in the quarterfinals. Songdo High School, where Lim Young-chan (35 points, 12 rebounds, 2 assists, 4 steals) was active, beat Shin-ho 95-80.
Hongdae High School defeated Myongji High School 77-69 with Pyeon Si-yeon (25 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 steals) and Park Jung-woong (20 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists, 5 steals). Yeosu Hwayang High School beat Sangsan Electronics High School 83-75 with Park In-seop (24 points, 3 rebounds, 11 assists, 2 steals) and Yoon Joon-sik (23 points, 7 rebounds, 9 assists, 4 steals).
Gyeongbokgung Palace won 76-69 against Naksaeng High School with Lee Keun-joon (19 points, 8 rebounds, 3 steals) and Kang Tae-hyun (17 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists) showing off their presence. In addition, Bae Jae-jae defeated Seo Ji-woo (23 points, 10 rebounds, 2 assists) and Lee Jae-seo (23 points, 10 rebounds) 84-79.
