Tiger Woods son Charlie fails to qualify for first round of PGA Tour tournament
Charlie Woods, the 15-year-old son of “Golf Emperor” Tiger Woods, failed to pass the first preliminary round of the PGA Tour Cognizant Classic.
Charlie shot a 16-over 86 to fail in the first preliminary round of the tournament held at the Lost Lake Golf Club (par 70) in Palm Beach Garden, Florida on Sunday (Korea time). As a result, Charlie failed to make it to the main tournament.
To compete in the PGA Tour’s Cognizant Classic, which opens on the 29th local time, they must pass the first qualifying round and finish fourth or higher in Monday’s qualifying round, the second qualifying round next week.
His father, Tiger Woods, competed in the 1992 PGA Tour Nissan Open at Riviera Country Club when he was 16.
Charlie lost four shots in five holes in the first half and lost as many as 12 shots in the seventh hole (par 4), making it virtually difficult to pass the preliminary round.
On this day, Charlie’s mother, Elin Nordegren, came to the golf course and watched her son play. 먹튀검증디비
